PLAIN-LANGUAGE PRIVACY
Your ride information stays focused on the ride.
This policy explains what Skol Destinations collects through its website, mobile app, phone-assisted booking, and related services, and what happens to that information.
Effective August 12, 2026 | Version 2026-08-12.1
The short version
Skol uses rider information to quote, schedule, dispatch, communicate, accept payment, provide support, and keep the service safe. Skol does not sell personal information, run behavioral ads, store full card numbers, request rider GPS, or track drivers in the background.
01
What Skol collects
Skol collects the information needed to arrange and operate rides. What is collected depends on how you use the service.
Account and contact information, such as your name, email address, phone number, sign-in details, account roles, and communication preferences.
Ride information, including pickup and destination addresses, saved booking places, requested date and time, passenger count, service type, accessibility needs you choose to share, ride notes, quotes, assignments, status updates, and ride history.
Payment records, including the amount, payment timing, status, receipt, adjustment, refund, and Square transaction identifiers. Square handles card and supported wallet entry. Skol does not store your full card number, card security code, or wallet credentials.
Communications and support information, such as support requests, replies, lost-property details, email and text delivery status, reviews you choose to leave, and promotional-email consent.
Operational and security records, such as account activity, staff actions, provider callbacks, errors, audit events, and standard network information processed by our hosting and security providers.
02
Location information
Skol does not request a rider device location. Riders enter a pickup and destination.
An assigned driver can choose to share precise location from the active ride screen while a ride is en route, arriving, or in progress. The app does not request background location access.
The latest shared driver point replaces the prior live point. Coordinates are cleared when the driver stops sharing, the driver assignment changes, the ride leaves an active state, or an update becomes stale after five minutes.
Pickup and destination addresses may be sent to Google mapping services to find places, estimate a route, and help operate the ride.
03
How Skol uses information
Create and secure accounts; confirm identity and assigned employee roles.
Receive ride requests; prepare quotes; schedule, dispatch, and complete rides; and provide live ride information.
Authorize, capture, adjust, refund, and document payments according to the payment option chosen for the ride.
Send requested ride, payment, support, and account messages by email or text. Ride texts require a separate, unchecked agreement in the booking flow; phone and email remain available.
Send promotions only when a rider has opted in. Riders can unsubscribe at any time without affecting transactional ride messages.
Answer support requests, investigate safety or service concerns, prevent fraud and misuse, keep required business records, and improve operations.
04
Automated ride help
The minimized Skol helper can answer general questions and, when you are signed in, receive limited read-only context about an open ride.
Questions and recent conversation context are sent to OpenAI to produce an answer. Skol requests that OpenAI not store the response for model processing.
Skol does not save the text of your helper questions or answers. It keeps limited usage records such as a one-way session hash, character counts, page, model, result status, and, when signed in, your account identifier.
Do not put card numbers, passwords, verification codes, identity documents, or other secrets in the helper. A person at Skol must confirm availability, prices, ride changes, and payment decisions.
05
Who processes or receives information
Skol shares information only as needed to run the service, at your direction, or when required for safety or law.
Authorized Skol owners, dispatchers, drivers, support staff, and contractors receive only the access needed for their work.
Supabase provides account, database, file, and server functions. Vercel hosts the website. Expo supports app builds and delivery.
Square processes payments. Twilio delivers text messages. Resend delivers email. Google mapping services support place and route features. OpenAI powers the optional automated helper.
Information may be disclosed to emergency services, regulators, courts, insurers, professional advisers, or another party when reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, a claim, or a business transaction.
Skol does not sell personal information and does not use rider information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
06
How long information is kept
Account information is kept while the account is active and while an account-closure request is being completed.
Ride, payment, receipt, adjustment, support, safety, and audit records may be kept as needed for service, bookkeeping, taxes, disputes, fraud prevention, insurance, and other legal obligations.
Live driver coordinates follow the short clearing rules described above. Skol keeps the ride event showing that sharing started or stopped, not the cleared coordinates.
Promotional consent is kept while active. If you opt out, Skol keeps a suppression record so the opt-out continues to be honored.
When information is no longer needed, Skol deletes or de-identifies it. Provider backups may remain until they age out under the provider’s backup schedule.
07
Your choices and requests
Review your ride and cost history in the app and download data you can access as PDF, Excel, CSV, or JSON.
Add, change, download, or remove saved booking places from your account. Saved places are private to your signed-in profile.
Ask Skol to correct account or ride information by using secure support.
Turn off promotional email at any time from a marketing message or your preferences. Transactional messages needed for a ride or account are separate.
Reply STOP to stop texts from the Skol number, START to allow future texts again, or HELP for help. Skol retains a one-way phone hash and last four digits so the choice stays enforced without copying the full number into the suppression record.
A driver can decline location permission or stop sharing from the active ride screen. Skol does not require always-on or background location access.
Request account closure inside Account & privacy. A public, sign-in recovery path is also available below. Some transaction, safety, and legal records may need to be retained after closure.
08
Security and children
Skol uses role-based access, database access rules, secure provider tokens, audit records, and encrypted network connections. No system can guarantee perfect security, so contact Skol promptly if you believe an account or ride record is at risk.
Skol accounts are not directed to children under 13. A parent, guardian, or other responsible adult should arrange transportation for a child and provide only the information needed for the ride.
